In 1968 a family business under the trade name “Theodossios Velemis” was formed to produce and distribute confectionery products through retailers in the Thessaloniki region. In 1989 the company specialized in phyllo pastries distributed through representatives in many locations all over Greece. Perfect materials combined with love and commitment led our phyllo pastries palmiers and sacristains to a dominant market position in spite of fierce competition. In 1999, as a result of constantly growing operations, the company moved to its new own factory 2.000 square metres in area, where the facilities and machinery are in compliance with European Union Food Production Standards. Since 2001 our company’s impressive participation continues at both ARTOZYMA and ARTOZA International Fairs of Bakery and Confectionery Products. Both the success of our phyllo pastries, which hold a leading domestic market share, and the sound and long lasting cooperation with company’s customers gave us the incentive to launch additional products that were also soon successfully accepted by the Greek and the foreign market. Together with the Phyllo Pastries, our product list also includes Cookies and Biscuits in a variety of tastes and coatings, jam and praline Petits Fours as well as butter Products Filled with bake stable stuff. Besides them, classic and chocolate coated Breadsticks, handmade Crissnacks in mediterranean tastes and also Seasonal Products like melomacarona and kourabiedes VELEMIS S.A. company and its personnel warmly thank our customers for the trust they show to us over the last 45 years, keeping our sole promise to produce quality and originality. |
